Answers to common questions, and how to get in touch.

My photo has no location. Can I still add a map?

Yes. Screenshots and photos saved from messaging apps often have no location. When you add a map, GPS or weather overlay to one, Postcarder asks where it was taken: search for a place, tap the map to drop a pin, or use your current location. You can also change the location from any map or GPS overlay's settings.

Why does the weather say "No weather"?

Weather comes from Apple Weather, whose history starts in August 2021, so older photos have none. Weather also needs an internet connection and a location for the photo.

How do I move, resize or edit an overlay?

Tap an overlay to open its settings. Press and hold, then drag, to move it. Pinch to resize and twist to rotate. To zoom into the photo itself, tap an empty part of the photo first, then pinch.

Can I remove the watermark?

The free version adds a small "Made with Postcarder" watermark, which you can move or make bigger. A one-time Pro purchase lets you turn it off or replace it with your own name or logo. Tap the watermark, or go to More › Watermark.

I bought Pro on another device. How do I get it back?

Tap the watermark (or More › Watermark), then Restore Purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is also shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Does Postcarder upload my photos?

No. Everything happens on your iPhone. See the privacy policy for details.
